Third Culture Kid

'Third Culture Kid' received a reading at Bold Elephant, directed by Marianne Badrichani, in October 2025 and is currently in development.

'Third Culture Kid' is set over one night in a household in Sao Paulo, where Brazilian student Christian has invited two expat girls over. The night features all the usual antics - drinking, jumping in the pool, playing Spin the Bottle, and of course - drugs. It's all going fine until Christian finds himself in a blind rage and does something he can't quite come back from.

Inspired by my own experiences growing up in South America, this play explores underlying cultural tensions, inherited violence and the question of whether the world is really as 'open' as we think it is.

Lucy and the VR Gods

'Lucy and the VR Gods' was joint winner of Bold Playwrights 2023 and also longlisted for RSC's 37 Plays. It received an Industry Reading in June 2023 at Bold Theatre directed by Marianne Badrichani.

Lucy's got a bit of a problem with reality. Especially these days when it insists on playing hardball. Luckily, she's a VR Designer and the options of which realm she'd like to exist in seem endless. When Lucy's husband, David, becomes ill, Lucy goes on a mission to save him. But as his health deteriorates, she's faced with a decision – does she watch her husband suffer in the real world or lose herself in an ideal virtual reality? 'LUCY AND THE VR GODS' Is a play about loss, denial and how we grasp the ungraspable.
