Mrs C’s Collective - 2019/20 Writers Collective

I’m passionate about helping writers bring their stories to life. My approach as a dramaturg and script reader is to build up from the heart of the project. It’s about unearthing and nurturing the seeds of the idea (then maybe later, some weed cutting). 

As a dramaturg and script reader I’ve worked with various institutes including The Finborough, The Royal Exchange, Bold Theatre and Papatango. I’ve read for the Bruntwood Prize for several years, also providing top 100 feedback reports. I’ve also read for the Papatango and Bold Playwrights Prize. 

I’ve set up various writers groups including the ACE Funded ‘Mrs C’s Collective Writers Collective’ alongside Charlotte Everest which I led in its inaugural year in 2019. Myself and playwright Ben Weatherill also ran the ‘The Old Red Lion Writers Group’ from 2014-2016. From 2012-2017 I worked as the Literary Manager at the Finborough Theatre.

• Short play (10-30 minutes) half page feedback & 30 min consultation - £50

• Full length play (30-90 minutes) one page feedback & 60 min consultation - £100

• Bespoke sessions provided upon request
